FOR SOME PEOPLE, it’s a time of relief. The kids are going back to school, so the house will finally be quiet again.
For teachers (and those who travel to work by bus at the same time as school kids), it’s a time of sheer horror. For weeks, we have been bracing ourselves for the disruption to the quiet summer mornings we have been enjoying for the last few months.

Amy Huberman is one of the former, who is presumably delighted to be sending her kids Billy and Sadie back to school. Ahead of their return to school yesterday morning, Huberman snapped a photo of her 39-year-old husband Brian O’Driscoll posing with one of this kid’s schoolbags.
She captioned the photograph “They grow up so fast. There he goes now.”
We only have one question. Why is the knocker on the inside of the front door?
